My #1 Fan!

I baked some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies~!

This is my favorite cutie eating my cookies~
His expression explains it all. He loves my cookie!

But he doesn't just love my cookies,.. he loves everything I bake for him.
I think that's why I love baking so much. I enjoy it because I know I'm baking it for someone that appreciates what I make no matter how it may turn out.
He's my #1 fan :D
Just that thought makes my love for baking a completely different thing.
It's something I do just so I can see his smile
I'm one lucky baker :)

Las Vegas

We are in LAS VEGAS y'all! Woot!!
- Our friend from Japan came to visit us here in Las Vegas as well~ We taught her English and went sightseeing with her. It was a lot of fun but so tiring as well. We walked so much and my brain had to switch from English and Japanese every second---talking with Josh in English ,talking with our friend in Japanese, translating what she said in English to Josh, Translating what Josh said to her, etc etc etc. CRAZY! :P But it was good for me for sure ;) I needed to brush up on my Japo〜
Anyway...here are some pictures~~

I Almost Died...

Went to the doctors today to get a check-up and get some vaccination and a blood test.(all required for the residency visa I'm working on.)
It was all going dandy until... let me tell you the story~
So the nurse made me take my shirt off and my bra and she told me to lay down on this bed looking thing with a towel covering my upper half. Then this old doctor came in to check my blood pressure and heart beat etc. He was a nice doctor so that's always good. So that went smoothly and I had nothing wrong with me so he said I can put my clothes back on and he'll come back to draw some blood for some blood testing.
He came back, sat me on this chair and drew and got ready to poke me with a needle and draw some blood. He told me not to look at my arm as he was pocking it in, and poked. It didn't really hurt and he did a pretty quick job of it. Then next he told me that the nurse will be in to vaccinate me ( POKE me some more) .
The nurse came in and she brought with her 3 needles. The 1st one was a vaccination for "mumps, measles...and one more thing of which I forget the name..) and poked my left upper arm with. She said this one is going to burn during and after the poke. Yeah...it stung a bit when the needle went through but no biggie.
The 2nd one was also a vaccination of some sort. She put that on the right upper arm. That one I really didn't feel anything. But then my left arm started to get a fuzzy/tingly and I "thought" I told the nurse about it but later on I found out that maybe I was just thinking it in my mind. But anyway, I felt that tingle and that was the last thing I remember of that. Next thing I knew I was waking up and I was on the floor in a weird hospital room with Josh's mom holding my head and calling for Josh in a frantic voice.
Yes, You might have guessed but I fainted. Not only fainted but had a seizure along with it. Josh came into the room and held head while the doctor came and asked me if I was feeling dizzy or if I can move my hands, legs eyes, etc. He checked my heart beat, my blood pressure. Seeing that I was doing alright now besides a little carpet burn on my cheek and ear and a dent on my head...he told me to get up slowly and sit on the chair from where I fell from.
Okay so I THOUGHT the nurse already did the 3rd poke but I was wrong. I fainted right after the 2nd one so I still had my 3rd one to go. sigh... anyway, Josh stood beside me in case I decide to faint again while I was getting the 3rd poke. ...and I didn't faint!
So the 3rd one done, I was allowed to go. I wasn't really scared or hurt from the fainting/seizure but I couldn't stop my tears from falling and my body from shaking. I think my body was in shock from all I went through. I mean gosh, I could have easily died. But I couldn't do that to Josh.. <3
On the way home,Josh's parents took me to a sushi bar to get some food in me and now I am home resting...Writing my blog, doing other stuff on the comp...I'm not suppose to go to sleep. :P
Anyway, all of that is over and now I have a story to tell. haha!
Please keep me and my health in your prayers. I sure don't want any diseases from the vaccination!
Now all I gatta do is keep myself awake and wait for Josh to come home from outreach! :)

Breakfast At McDonald's

A friend sent me this on mail and it was such a nice story that I had to post it:)

 ********
I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.' The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.
Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved. As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling' His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance......
He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.. The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).
Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action. I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.' I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.' I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son... When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope..'  We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given, were we able to give.. We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.
I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?' I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed. In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son,the instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student. I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:
UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.
Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.
There is an Angel sent to watch over you. In order for her to work, you must pass this on to the people you want watched over.

An Angel wrote:  Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart。
To handle yourself, use your head...
To handle others, use your heart.

Night at McD

Josh and I went to Tokyo to see my older sister (she's not really my sister but she ..is .. you know~) who I haven't seen in AGES and since I was planning on going back to the States in June and might not be able to see her in a LOOOONG time after that. It was a LOT of fun~ walking around Shibuya Tokyo,Window shopping, eating and drinking yumminess and just having an awesome time.
I will post photos later~ I just need to tell you ...a story first.
Anyway, so we stayed at her and her husband's(awesome guy btw) place for the night and we had plans on going to Carpet job and hitching a ride back home with our home ppl.

 *********
So skip skip... okay we're at the Carpet job...we do the usual~ Ripping off carpet, rolling it,riping tape off,*repeat*. It wasn't all that bad until dear kach had to send me a text that the carpet job team in this other place finished already. *UGH* .. it was downhill from then. :( I mean we had a lot of carpet still left and they friggin' FINISHED?! and not only that they got an EXTRA 1000yen? No friggin' way.
But oh well right?! I COULD be a lot better but I was okay.
Oh and funny story. We all got on the truck where we load the carpet to go to the other building and when we got there everyone jumped out of the truck but me being a GIRL (the ONLY one there at the moment on the truck full with guys) couldn't jump out fast enough and the 'big boss' driving the truck started driving. Josh told me not to jump out now that he started driving and so I put my legs back in from the side and looked to see..Toady in the truck with me.(I guess he couldn't get out in time as well.) So the boss kept driving, oblivious to the fact that we were still in the back of the truck. Anyway to make the story short, he found out we were in the back and we helped him peel a little patch of carpet,we got back in the truck,he drove us around for a WHILE looking for our groupie and dropped us off :P
 *********
Okay so now for the BAD story. We finished carpet job..we're all exhausted and we start driving home. ...and the friggin' car stops working in the middle of the road. We were able to cruise the car to the side of the road and luckily Dan spotted us on their way home and helped jump start our car. We thanked them and started driving again and soon after it STOPPED again. Like the whole car just STOPS working out of the blue. So we call Dan to help jump start our car again.Oh and did I tell you it was RAINING?! yes,it was raining on top of all that.
Okay so we got the car working again and we drove until .... AGAIN! The car just DIES on us. Dan was no where near us and...basically we were screwed. We decided to push the car on the side-walk(which is illegal btw) and ditch it. We walked to McDonald's when the boys decided it was a bad idea to ditch the car on the side-walk and we might get fined BIG TIME if the police found it there so they went back to push the car to the nearest 7-Eleven which was about a 1000 meters from where we ditched it. Anyway they have quite a story to tell on that one while I was watching over our stuff in the McDonald's.
We were seriously prepared to stay a night in McDonald's but Isamu came for the rescue and came all the way from home to pick us up! THANK GOD. So he arrived in McDonald's at around 4-something in the morning and we made it home at 6-something in the morning. CRAZY! ...
That was one hell-of-a-night. Pray for my sanity :P ahaha
Anyway Pictures will come later~ cherio~!

Hair Style

I'm ganna go get my hair cut soon and I can't decide on how to cut it.
A lot of people here are telling me to not cut it (because they like my long hair) ...I like my long hair but I also want a little change from the regular...can't really decide.
Maybe I'll get it trimmed and styled? Josh thinks I'll look good with bangs but...really? Do I? (Bangs:not fringes but side swept...atleast in my case that is the more normal and better suiting alternative,if you know what I mean)

 SOMEONE HELP MEEEE!
